Keith Taylor was awarded the scholarship by telegram on 15 April 1959. At the time he was 27, married with two children and while living in The Park in the middle of Nottingham. He sailed from Southampton on 6th August and arrived in New York on 11 th August. Keith was employed by Sturmey-Archer and planned to see all he could of the organisation and operation of Raleigh Industries in the States.
